Have any one had a problem with the GFO not tumbling at all , when I install the the 1st reactor with carbon it work fine , I just purchase both of them , with 2 new MJ1200 pumps , I also to it apart ( twice ) and all the parts was ok , the GFO granules I'm using is from BRS , I made sure I didnt put to much in , its only 6in. , the instruction says No more than 8in. ? any thoughts what I can do

What size GFO did you get? I think they make a few sizes and I'm ASSUMING that the larger ones would be more difficult to tumble? may just need a bigger pump?

There's something wrong with the pressure. How fast is the water coming out of the reactor?

My reactor didn't tumble for the first 3 or 4 days.. now, no problems

Granular GFO -requires the least amount of flow to tumble (Good for reactors)

smallblock
no mvement at all

the pump I'm using is MJ1200 brand new , it state that it is suited for this setup , I even swamp out pumps and got the same results , I also played with the suction vlv to almost close to wide open , & got the same results

do you have the TLF reactor 550 using MJ1200 & using GFO granules ?

Is there any wAter coming out of it? Call me later maybe i can swing by and take a look at it.

I have the 550 and running it with a MJ600 tuned back a bit and I get tumbling. Make sure you have the Maxijet output going through the elbow connected to the center pipe. Also, make sure the elbow is connected. Whenever I have trouble, that darn elbow has fallen off. One last thing, is the media just laying in the bottom of the reactor or is it pushed up to the top sponge?

no, I'm not running any of the same equipment.. I was just stating that my reactor took about 48 hours to start tumbling (katalyst) so maybe yours justs needs some time?

MPH84 - I'm working this wknd I dont get off till 7pm if you can anytime after that would work , if not I will be off mon. also I'll try to call you today , & yes a go flow of water coming out

blakejohn - yes everything is install as instruction stated , & yes incoming flow is correct , as I stated before I had install the 1st reactor like 30min before sitting this up & lol I didnt take it that you thought I was stupid

schwaggs - the elbow inside the reactor was the first problem the 1st time I took it apart , & yes the media is just sitting at the bottom

crew - its been 2days with no tumbling but my water is looking ALOT better ! It could be the carbon I'm running or GFO could be working alittle bit , just a thought
