I have always heard that phosphates can contribute to algae in large concentrations however is there such a thing as too little phosphates? I have been running phosguard in my eheim for about 2 months. Now my pocillopora is being weird. Everything else is good. Just curious.

Yes, but it's uncommon - it can happen in very established tanks with large skimmers and a lot of live rock. It's much more likely that something else is going on. Typical signs are good growth and general heath , but loss of color over time.

How old is your tank?

My tank is about 7 months old. This just came out of no where. All my other corals are perfect except my 2 pocilloporas. I did just clean my eheim but i didnt do anything out of the ordinary. I also noticed that they are out at night but then when my halide kicks on the polyps retract. Its really weird because my acros and my clams love it. I just put new mud in my refugium and did some other maintainence but this was happening a week or so prior.
