what are some of the fertilizers for those of you who culture your own plankton? i have heard mixed reviews on miracle grow liquid ferts; some see no ill effects while others vehemently object to it. are there any other alternatives to miracle grow that are safe for a direct tank injection as oppose to sump injection?

Florida Aqua farms sells some think you can pick it up off eBay from some one named adnup or something like that.
I've got some in dry form that you can mix and I can send you some in the mail if you want. Pm me if you want some.

i guess what I'm trying to ask is whether or not people have tried to use the miracle grow and experience negative side effects. i have seen people warning about the product but never a true review based on experience

Please don't put miracle grow or any fertilizer directly in your tank or sump. You will have negative effects. Only use fert to grow algae and then dose the phytoplankton after it has bloomed and consumed the fert. I've always used the fert from FAF.
