I'm sitting up a 3 gallon pico and want to know a few things. . Should I run a hydro nano 200 or 400? And will a part 38 screw in bulb work for just a few softies?

Honestly a HOB filter with some livestock ruble in it works good. And a par38 would work awesome for growing softies/Lps. What brand is it?

Not running a filter. It's a cylinder tank. Don't have one yet just getting ideas on lighting..

A cylinder tank? Do you have any pics?

I'm curious also because I am setting up a jbj 3 gal picotope. I am going to mod an aquaclear but haven't decided on lighting yet.

You guys should build a kit from rapid led. I built mine ( solderless ) and they worked great on my 10gallon. And you can usually get all of the pieces you need ( leds, wires ect. ) for under 100:

I have thought about it but that is a little complicated for a 3 gal. I am looking at a par 38 or a small t5 setup.

I don't really know how that's complicating....lol. Bit a par38 would be fine. As for a T5 I don't think you can find one that small.

What are you planning on putting in it? This would be a awesome zoa tank...

Really cool tank man!

I think a par 38 would be perfect for your tank.

You have probably read this already but here is a great 3 gal pico setup.
The pump he uses is a 90gal per hour.

You should get a biocube. They make GREAT seahorse tanks.

Well in that case haha.
