I have a tiger pistol shrimp paired with a watchmen goby. How the heck can I get the shrimp to come out of its burrow. The only way I can see it is through the glass on the bottom of the tank folded up like a contorsionist. It is such a nice looking shrimp. Would like to enjoy it.

I hear him all the time. I thought he was dead till I looked up while trimming cheato yesterday. Never put the clicks together till then. Will try looking tonight.

they never come out unless its dark or feeding time. mine could always tell when it was feeding time. i could hand feed it. dont expect it to just come out and roam around randomly though, they dont do that.

Just give it time. They will come out in the daytime (and any other time) once they become settled. They are also more likely to come out as they get bigger, and as they become more confident that it is safe to do so.

I have several pistol shrimp and the small ones often stay hidden quite a bit (especially if they are not paired with a goby), but they grow very fast and are fascinating to watch - you'll just need to be patient and give it time.

Mine comes out during the day..... Between him and the goby I think my whole sand bottom is a network of tunnels..... He's a bulldozer!

We have had ours for about a year now and I hear him at night, but we rarely see him or the goby out much.

I think my shrimp and goby are planning a terrorist attack on my clown. They are so sneaky

That pistol shrimp. Mine has no problem coming out. He digs and my Goby sits there and he has dug up my whole tank. Really it is a constant sand storm. He is right out under every rock just digging and causing a mess!

He is great to watch but he is stirring my tank up so much I am beginning to worry about him when he gets even bigger!

I love mine hes gotten so big,hes bright red and looks like a small lobster,I see him before I feed and when I do.My gobbie did the big jump and the dogs found him=[.I can hear him snap his claw all the way in the bed. Will he get along with a purple lobster?
