I had a very pleasant surprise today. When Sea had the grand opening I bought a nice little orange recordea. Loved the look of it. Put it in the tank (one of my first coral purchases) and it started looking very nice within a day. A couple of days later I noticed it was coming loose of the frag plug it was attached to. Before I could get in and try to super glue it, it broke free and a crab pulled it under the rocks never to be seen again. I was bummed.
Today, I was getting ready to do some tank maintenance that I couldn't do Sunday because of a work deadline. While planning my attack I was inspecting the tank. And what to my wondering eyes do appear? No it wasn't a tiny sleigh and eight tiny reindeer but laying on the sand bed was my recordea.
So now, it is attached to the rock and we will see how it recovers. This saltwater stuff never ceases to amaze me with it's little surprises.
