My husband sneaked this into the frags I bought at a LFS. It was in a frag tank so I think it's reef safe but I'm afraid it might harm other inhabitants.
I even paid for it:doh:ID and Is it ok to put in my tank? yay or nay?

looks like a sally lightfoot crab to me. I think they're coral safe, but they're known to have a mean streak when it comes to inverts/fish? I'm not 100% sure though. I have one in my 40br tank, and he's pretty complacent as long as I feed him regularly.

Cool, thanks guys! I have the poor creature sitting in a breeder box looking down at the rocks.
He is a very handsome crab though. I'm glad he sneaked it in lol. No wonder one of the guys at the store asked what I would name him.

they've been known to grab fish out of water column or when sleeping when they get older....

+1 on the reef safe. Everything else is at risk...

Edit: Oh yeah... and +1 on the sally lightfoot crab identification...
