I have been lucky enough after three years in the hobby to never see a flatworm, so don't laugh at the fact that I don;t know what they are... I found a couple of these in my sump today. I hope that they are some snail, or something... Please excuse the terrible camera man, there is plumbing in his way...

True, This ought to be fun. They are so small and clear, I have no idea...

This is what I get for ordering macroalgaes from blue zoo aquatics...

Google here I come...

Odd story about nudi's.. Can't remember what the name was but I was looking at a list of them once and there was this super cool one.. Then I noticed a warning
"Will release sulphuric acid when stressed"
LoL

I believe it is a flatworm, but not a threat. I had a bunch some years back but they slowly died off.

WOW, thanks. It is a Benigin flatworm. That is exactly what they look like. Guess I'll be gettign a small six line wrasse to erradicate them from my display.

I will be checking tonight to see if I find any in the display.

I would not worry about them, as far as I know they do no harm. They do seem to like to hide out in the macro algae. I did have a 6 line at the time, he might have been the reason they became extinct.

Maybe. II have only seen a few in the fuge, but if I see one inthe display, I am getting a 6 line. He might eat all my mini brittles, but I would rather that than flatworms!

I concur its a flatworm, but a harmless one. I remember the first time I saw one in my tank. I freeked.

It's possible that the nutrients are high. Its a new set-up, only three weeks or so old with mostly older established live rock.

I have some Elos test kits arriving tomorrow, and wil check everything out. I am willing to bet the nitrates are still zero, and the phosphates are a little high. ..just from general observation. I have a phosban reactor coming tomorrow too, so this problem (if there is one) will soon be taken care of.

I just put some of those macros in the fuge a week ago, so it's also possible that they were just hitchhikers.

what a crazy alien that thing is.....the underwater world is so fascinating. Nice find!

Yep, definitely a flatworm. Not a red flatworm... but a flatworm notwithstanding.

Yeah I thought it was cool myself, but usually the really cool stuff is not so good...

Ok, did some reading, and they are harmless. I just need to keep them in check
