Jc, but what pvc piece can you use to attach to a a3/4 and 1 inch non threaded top/bottom bulkhead. Ive tried almost every piece in lowe's and i cannot find anything that will attach. Thoughts?

Also, does anyone have any recommendations for pvc size for the drain and return? i want to use 3/4 for the drain and 1 inch for the return but everyone says go bigger on the return but it seems to be difficult to upsize from a 1 to a 1 1/2 or 1 1/4. Thanks....

Tank: (5 x 2 x 2) 150 dual drains/returns

you use 3/4 and 1 inch regular pipe for bulkheads then glue fittings to pipe... I think

and my 135 is the other way, 1 inch drain and 3/4 for return

1 inch drain and 3/4 for return. That's the way its done. You want smaller for return than drain.

So your suggesting just to slide them in there and glue into the inside of the bulkhead?

that's how people told me to do it and how I did mine. Glue a small piece of pipe then install the bulkhead, it's easier

Really? i swore everyone always told me that the return lines should be as big as possible...and i might just take your advice on it misu....

Just glue the pipe to the bulkhead.If your trying to chang the size of pipe . They make a 3/4x1" pvc adapter

may want to ask around some more, I really don't consider myself the master plumber

I actually did my tank this past weekend so that's all the experience I have on it but nothing is leaking so maybe I got lucky
