PO4 higher with GFO

I switched out the media this morning and slowed the flow through the reactor. I will give it a day to run and test the tank PO4 tomorrow and also the water coming out of the reactor.
How long do you rinse your GFO? I ran 1/2g through the reactor and it was coming out clear after that.

When I rinse it, I just wait until I see all of the red color go away, and then I check the reactor and make sure that most of the fines are out as well.

I pump 1/2 to 3/4 gallon through it out of the sump and into a container. When clear it goes into sump.
