So, this has been mulling around in my head for a few weeks now, figured I’d just ask. The pod population in my tanks is starting to get to where they are all over the glass and starting to obstruct my view in. Just specs everywhere. I have 2 fish total between 3 tanks, so there’s no real predation of them occurring. I’m not complaining, but my main question is what happens to them when I need to scrape the algae? I hope I’m not decimating hundreds of the little fellas every time I have to clean the glass/acrylic.

If they are all over the glass, killing them well you scrap won’t do much to population. You can just throw in a mandarin or two if you want a natural predator

It’s probably best to get something like wrasses instead of mandarin or any particular species that requires special diets.

My mandarin died and no where to be find when I stop giving pods as I thought I had enough pods in the tank and stopped giving pods due to traveling and moving house. Also as you know, the hariquin shrimp was also sold due to its special diet needs.

Making life easier, I won’t get anything that needs special cares like that anymore in a nano tanks.
