If you have a controller then you should set it to come on and off at the temps you want. Although that may cause your fan's to run almost all day and night to get it to the temp you want depending on your room temp. I have a quad fan that is adjustable to move up and down if your interested in getting a fan. PM me if you are and I'll give you more info on it.

Yep, got back home around 11pm. Tried to make it back sooner, but to many Alabama popo's. Jewels took in to work with her today, she ain't getting no work done.

I think it would help better I'd you have it on top blowing across the surface of your DT to help remove all that hot air the MH is heating up. IMO that's the killer right there.

not saying other issues arent in place but fwiw,polyp extension is always better on acros at night,its when they feed.

I'm betting the rusty angel. The reason you most likely don't see him nipping is that the polyps are not extended until night time when he/she is dormant. By the time you have noticed the lack of the polyp extension they have been trained so to speak to only come out at night. It sometimes takes months for the corals to react after the removal of the guilty fish. Just a possibility is all.

But my other SPS are staying open all day and night so thats why I figured he wasnt messing with them
