This is a freshwater topic I can wrap my head around. I know a few of us have outdoor ponds so lets see em. Here is mine,9' x 14' about 2000g with 10 ft stream bed and savio equipment.

You could always go with some of the small ponds I have seen. About 30g tub with some goldfish and a lily

LOL, it definetly was a chore but I love relaxing around it now.

Lets see some more. I know Chris from fishscales has one as well as a few others

Beautiful pond John! Are there Koi in there? I used to have a small one. It came with the house when I bought it and left with the house when I sold it. It has a small waterfall and some lillies and goldfish in it as well as some other unknown fish if some sort that were in there when I moved in. The problem with this pond was that it was dug under a bunch of pine trees, and directly under a dog wood, so it was very hard to keep clean!

Yep, there are still a couple. We are actually phasing them out and going with more shabunkins and comets. Koi are rough on the pond plants which is what we seem to have more interest in. Go figure though, I seem to be more into the corals than the fish in my reef tank also

I'd love to put in a pond, but unfortunately I don't have a good place in my yard for it. John's pond makes me jealous!

WOW! That is sweet!

I'll have to keep my wife AWAY from this thread! lol!

I have a small round one in my front yard from the previous owner o f the home. It's above ground at the moment and full of water with these nice lilly looking plants.

If anyone wants it, they are more than welcome to it, It's about 3-4ft in diameter.

I'm not showing anyone my pond yet. It's a tiny one (about 75g), and I'm not done landscaping around it so it's more of an eyesore than anything at this point lol. I really suck at choosing plants/landscaping so I keep putting it off :(.

It doesn't even have a real filter on it yet, just the fountain pump, and we do water changes every other week. I threw some hornwort and cabomba in there and it's growing like mad. There are 4 small comets that lived in there over the winter, and 2 baby koi that I adopted from the store. I know they can't stay. But when we move in a year or two, I hope to put in a much larger pond at the new place. If they make it that long they will be very happy fishies :).

I would love to come help you w the landscaping. If you are free one weekend call me or PM me 770-505-3010
