OK, added to the list of things I feel bad about -- yesterday, 2 days after emptying my 55g down to the sand bed, I found the fighting conch I bought about 2 years ago and hadn't seen since. I had combed through the sand looking for nass snails and somehow missed him. Panicked and tossed him in the new shiny 28g and today he's cruising around happily.
Is he going to be miserablew with only 1.5-2" of sand? Should I rehome him? He's around 2.5" long.
