possibility of identifying a jumper goby

I know gobies are know to be jumpers but the first goby I got I had no problems. As soon as it was acclimated it went straight to the bottom of the tank and started to shift the sand. He was shifting sand when he was at the store. Unfortunately my tank crashed but it survived, so I had the goby in a friends tank until I can get mines back up. He did jump out of my friends tank. And so far this last week I've been through two gobies. All showed the same signs of a possibility of jumping out. They would not shift any sand and would always swim to the top. Next day I would find the goby outside of the tank all dried up. Has anyone else notice this? Or am I just crazy?

I think it's stress, once they get used to the new place they're less likely to jump. I had to keep the lid on a bucket during a tank move that's how bad a goby wanted to jump also during a power outage I found him in the sump area of the nano

The mesh tops that Achroholic was selling was very resonable and easy build...spent approx $20 total and I have a nice lid to prevent any jump attempts.
