My naso tang eats alot but his belly seems a little pinched lately so I think he may have an intestinal parasite. Over the weekend, my yellow tang developed white worm looking things all over his body and fortunately I got a cleaner shrimp and he took care of the yellow tang (which was literally the coolest thing I've ever seen-I wished I video taped it).

Sooo, I have Prazipro and want to put it the display tank for the naso and prevent the other fish from getting anything. However, it is a reef tank and I have the shrimp and snails in there. Do you think it's reef safe for the inverts? Thanks.

Jeremy (jmaneyapanda) has used it in his reef with no issues. It's contraindicated for use with fanworms, but he said he did with no ill effects.

If he's brave enough to use it in *his* system, it should be OK.

It's a Praziquantel based medication for use in Fresh and Saltwater.

Treats: Flukes, tapeworms, flatworms and turbellarians.

I've used it for years for flukes/trematodes. It's good for internal and external worm infestations in fish, and apparently it works on red planaria too.

I should add... turn off your skimmer (as you should with any medication)... and when you turn it back on (after 5 days the med breaks down)... WATCH YOUR SKIMMER. It can and will go nuts from the stuff and might overflow.

Dang it, too late! My naso is getting ready to kick the bucket . This is the 2nd Naso that has gotten this internal parasite-uggh. Although very pretty, I'm done with Nasos.
