Private messaging in thread

silly question but how do I private message someone within a thread. I have been having to back out of the thread to click on someone’s name

Sorry I missed your question.  Easiest way is to copy  the users name and paste in your message your composing.  The update we are releasing asap on the site links user names and avatars directly to their profile to send them a message (its quick and easy).  I know currently its absolutely a pita.
