So this weekend went to LFS, and my 9 year old daughter picked out a Blue Damsel for the tank. I HATE him. These few days all ive seen him do is bully my goby and clowns. He is to fast for me to net with my rock work. He just darts into it and stays there. I tried to block his entrance with the net and he just finds other ways out. Do I need to break down my rock work? Please I need help. I want him out of my tank!

You could try and borrow a fish trap or check online how to make one. They aren't too hard to deal with but most require quite a bit of patience. You could also try to catch him a few times and see if he darts to the same spot each time. If so, position one net by that spot and then go for it. Sometimes they're react the same way and start swimming towards their "safe spot" and you'll have the new ready.

Welcome to the ARC!

We have all put a fish/invert etc in our tanks that turned out to be a mistake. Having to tear apart a tank to catch a problem fish taught me to do my research on anything I put in my tanks now. Its just a part of this hobby.

If it weren't for damsels, the sales of fish traps would plummet! I made the same mistake with a Splendid Dottyback. Nice, active and gregarious fish but apparently mine is also immortal.

Yup; Damsels and Dottybacks; almost all are a pain.

Potential exceptions:
Blue Sapphire (Springeri) Damsel
Captive bred Orchid (Fridmani) Dottyback
Elegant Dottyback

But every fish has a different personality and can be a roll of the dice.
