After the treatment I did 25% water change. Turn the skimmer back on. skimmer pull up so many bubbles. Then I just did another 25% water change today and clean out the skimmer. But still not working right. My skimmer work perfect before the treatment. Any suggestions what to do next? My tank have been run 5days without skimmer.

That's a normal reaction.

Try running some fresh carbon, often that will help.

Thanks Jenn. I will try that
"sinbad" i did re ajust the valve. but wont work

Takes my skimmer about a week or so to adjust back to normal after chemi-clean. I just turn the skimmer off for several days and do a couple extra water changes. Skimmer overfoaming is normal in this case.

Another good way to handle if you have an ATO is to put your ATO pump into a container of premixed salt water and let your skimmer go crazy. It will skim out all the garbage while you replace it with new water.

I agree with the above.

When I do it I have to nearly CLOSE the valve on the skimmer...

give it a week or so and it will equal out again

Just to clarify to this point, I have an external skimmer that has a drain tube from the skim cup that dumps into a drain. So, I can skim out 30 or 50 gallons without much effort. Folks with internal skimmers or setups may not have the same flexibility to do this.
