I have a 220 gallon tank...thinking about this skimmer anyone have this skimmer or thoughts?

i doubt you will be happy.... look for someone here for a nive used one

that skimmer is good for a 100g maybe. The ratings they use for filters are like the EPA estimated MPG for cars. You will NEVER see those numbers.

If you put 3-5 small fish and a few corals yeah that will be fine, but who does that? Go bigger, much bigger.

I can't speak to the 220 although I've owned 2 and never got to use them. I have however used the 125 on a 92g with 6 fish, LR, and a bunch of coral and it did fine. I do believe that there are probably better units on the market though. My Red Sea Berlin model actually outskims the 125 model.

Are you looking for in-sump or external?

depending on your budget the super reef octopus line are suppose to be great skimmer. Might check them out!

Coral life skimmers are garbage. Spend your money on a quality skimmer and you won't have to re-buy one later on. Reef Octo skimmers are grea! If you can get your hands on one of the Super Reef Octopus skimmers you won't regret it.
