Hey all!

I've read a lot about pulsing xenia over the past couple of weeks. I know that in some tanks they grow like weeds and in others they won't stay alive. Mine came on my LR that I got right after starting up the DT and have been spreading and growing fast. A couple days ago i noticed a few "hands" were starting to hang and turning dark/gray. It's only happening on the larger one while all the smaller onces seem perfectly healthy. Does this sound familiar to anyone? You think it's just part of the natural process of it growing?

I posted but, as you can see, it's not a good one. Just wanted to show how it's just individual "hands"

Thoughts?? Thanks for the help!!:D

I can't keep it alive, but it grows great in my son's tank. We use the same water, chemicals etc. It's a mystery to me.

My xenia starts acting sad when the ph drops below 8.2. For those that have had xenia issues, what is your ph?

alt="" />I have a hard time keeping my ph @ 8 for more than a few hrs. a day. Pretty much stays around 7.8/7.9 and mine looks ok. When I turn off the flow to feed the tank much of the Xenia will go "limp", looks like yours, for a while but perks up after the flow returns to normal.

I find medium curremt to be important too. I have a nice healthy piece that self-fragged about two weeks ago. You are welcome to it (for free of course), if you or anyone else want to give it a try. It hasn't attached itself to anything yet.
