purple long tentacle anemone

I just got a purple long tentacle anemone!!! Where do they like to get in sand or attach themselves to rock?? and will my maroon clown host the anemone?

They will position themselves where they feel most comfortable, and if it is a true long tentacle then yes the maroon should have no problems hosting to the anemone.

What color is the foot? I ask because I have seen several stores selling condis as "Haitian Purple Tip Long Tentacle" nems. Maybe post a pic.

+1, if it is indeed a Codylactic anemone, that's one fish eatin motha!! Trust me I've had to learn the hard way. Saw this sweet purp tip anemone at the lfs for like 20$ and bought it thinking I was getting a great deal, then fish start to disappear one by one and what do ya know the purp tip beauty was like in the top three on the fish eaters list!! Crazy! Just be careful!!
