PVC glue

will the PVC glue that you get at HD work on sealing up or bonding together acrylic and PVC? I guess I could try a test, just wondering if anyone knew first hand. Thanks.

Ive used pvc glue to bond plastic to plastic and it bonds but its breakable, almost like superglue, it will have direct pull strenght but very weak when side shearing pressure is applied. Ive also bonded pvc to plastic as a maxijet bracket to a pvc pipe and that worked, but as to acrylic, Im not sure. I thinkmit would bond but not sure about the tension strenght, or sealing water tight. I think the structure of plastic is a weaker than the bonds that create acrylic.

Righty-o, thats what I thought and was told last night. Just being reassured. Time to get some weld-on.
