Mandarin Goby (only seems to eat pods), Lawnmower Blenny and Yellow Wrasse.

I'm QT other fish to treat for Ich but I don't think putting the mandarin in the QT is a good idea. I want the wrasse out(when I finally catch him)for sure but what do you old timers think on the Mandarin Goby and Lawnmower Blenny?

I would not add any fish to any tank that has Ich..........

However, I would not QT a mandarin in my system knowing it has been Ich free for 6-7 years...

A yellow Wrasse? lol....

a Halichoeres chrysus would also not enter any system that has Ich, in addition, I would treat w prazi-pro 2x's

no clue on blennie

SHOW OFF!!! LOL

Yeah, my display tank has ich and the above fish are not new additions they are in my display tank and I've already caught the other fish.
So my question is:

Leave the mandarin and blenny in the display tank?

You are in a bind to be sure. But, if you leave any fish in the system, you most likely will have another outbreak of ich. If fish are in the tank when the eggs hatch you will have another outbreak. Putting fish in QT allows you to treat them without killing inverts but to totally rid the tank it needs to fishless for 6 weeks. Now, it could be that leaving the fish in the tank and feeding with Metro and Focus would be enough. It won't kill the ich but may be enough to increas the imune systems of the fish so that the ich will not take over and kill them. I have heard some pretty accomplished people say they always have some ich in the tank.

Sorry, not trying to be a show off, just trying to give accurate info...

I would treat all fish in QT, and mandarin I would watch in display, and treat yellow with prazi....no clue on Bennie...

If you leave any fish in the DT, I'd leave the mandarin ONLY. Also, just an anal point of clarification, the mandarin is a dragonet, not a goby. The mandarin has a slime coating around it that can deter/help prevent infestation but will not make it immune (just lowers the probability). The lawnmower blenny does not have this so he would definitely be at a high risk.

Well thats what I was thinking, and the reason why I want all the fish out of the DT but I'm worried my mandarin wont have anything to eat. I highly doubt he will try other foods since I've never seen him eat.
About the accomplished people with ich in their tank, that's way beyond my abilities.

Just thinking out loud but.....

If you set up a sepperate QT tank for just the mandarin you could than buy pods during that time and introduce some every day. It would get expensive but........
