question about additives.

i was curious as to what people prefer here. especially if you use kent products. it seems like they have 100 different products to do 10 different things. especially in terms of essential/trace elements and whatnot.

i'm not adding anything yet, but was thinking about using 'purple up' and couldnt decide what else i should use, and whether or not i should even use purple up.

My issue with purple up is that it contains stuff I don't test for.. I have a super strain of coralline is seems..
If that's what your after let me know.. I need to scrape my glass anyways..

haha, yes actually. everytime i see a tank with corraline all on the back wall i get highly jealous. i think it's just because i'm ready to see SOMETHING, anything at all, show up in my tank besides the first diatoms that happened like 3 weeks ago.

that's some great advice you guys, thanks for the money saver haha. i think i MIGHT try the purple up then, and just be ever watchful for problems. glad to know the other stuff is unneccesary!

Nah.. Don't do that..

Slide by one day.. I'll scrape a ton off into a container with some water.. Kill the flow and pour it in and let it sit for a few.. It will grow.. Just need a jumpstart!

so you were saying NOT to do purple up?? and rockmart is....isn't that near rome??

i actually use purple up.......but vary rarely.....just maybe once a month or so......but yeah if ya use it.....be sure to have a scraper handy
