About 10 days ago I installed (with a lot of help) a calcium reactor. Tested all parameters at that time and kept up with them. dKH tested 8 on 3-3-10, which it has been around that mark for months, I figure a little low, but everybody is happy. I went out of town for 4 days and tested again today, and it was 12, pH was 8.1, and my calcium was 410. Milwaukee pH controller is set to go off at 6.5. Only change I have made is the reactor. Is a higher dKH normal with a reactor? I know the 12 dKH is just within guidelines but afraid it might go higher. I am worried it might go higher.

They will raise the alkalinity, Reduce the effluent coming out just a little and check the alk in two days. and leave the ph controller where it is right now.
