Question for Chalice Fraggers...

What method do you / have you used with the most success? I do not have a coral saw or access to one but do have the following.

1. Scalpel
2. Dremel with diamond blade
3. Coral "bone" cutters

Use the dremel.

a good razor blade and a hammer.a little tap and you got a good clean cut.no heat to hurt delicate flesh

I have used Dremmel with diamond blade with great success. I believe you got a cutting I made one time.
I have not tried the other methods.

So do you use the same cutting tools for Montipora? I have a piece that is growing really well. Bought it back in Aug. maybe...since then, it has grown out at least 1" all the way around. I would like to take a couple of fragments from it to glue above it so it will grow out another shelf or two. Or will this thing do that on its own once it starts climbing rocks?
I have one rock that the Monti is climbing up, and one out to the side that is .187" from touching. So will this thing flower up (so to speak), or do I have to cut and place other pieces to get the collage look?
