I am transitioning from Seachem to Elos (not that I was unhappy with Seachem test kits, but wanted to see what all of the buzz was about and I was out of reagents). I noticed that the ELOS phosphate kit requires a 10ml sample; many of its kits requiire only 5ml. I know I am reading the instructions correctly, but thought I would enlisted the greater minds of ARC :-). Is that correct? I do like the kits BTW, despite finding them a little getting used to to read/interpret.

Thanks!

I am thinking the 10 Ml is correct. One or 2 of my ELOS test kits require 10ml...

Yeah, my kit requires 10ml as well. My problem is when you read it....it goes from 0 to 1 and nothing in between.

I have only used the Cal, Alk and Mag Elos kits. Two of them require 5 ml and one requires 3 ml so that doesn't surprise me. I like the kits so far. Just wish they gave you more of the A reagent in the Mag kit.

Thx. I do find them a little hard to read. I also find that my 0 level results seldom matches anything close to theirs (0 level color) - same issue with Seachem.

I have ELOS for PH, calc, alk, and Mag.. the PH test kit is for 10ml.

I also switched to ELOS pellet food a few months ago and that helped eliminate the phosphates from thawing frozen food. Fish love it too (of course I don't have any picky eaters to worry about). I also use the ELOS SvC plankton supplement and I like that its dry and lasts a long time.
