Question for you Blenny owners

Can't speak about the bicolor, but my TSBlenny is active, eats well, and fun to watch. I'm glad I got it.

With all the positive attention everyone is giving the Tailspot Blenny I will have to go with that one. I will purchase these Blennies next week so I will probably change my mind a few times by then. Thanks for everyone's help so far.

No one has answer my question about the seasonal aspect of buying some fish, especially the Midas Blenny. Why can you only find these at certain times?

I had a tailspot that I really liked, but there really wasn't any algae in the tank and he started eating my montiporas. I fed him pretty well and he ate well, but he would constantly graze and took chunks out of several montis.

I finally got my Midas! :yay:

After 6.5 hours of driving through traffic, from Kathleen to Canton Ga. I went to Imagine Ocean and Jenn had two beautiful African Midas Blenny. I figured I'm not gonna drive this far to come home empty handed!

Decided to do a vid to show him off to everyone. :fish:

I had a bicolor that ate great! Only problem was, what he was eating was $200 worth of corals (blasto and acan). LOVED that fish, but I wanted to have coral too.

I have never heard that before, that's good to know. I have been put on restriction for awhile so all the money will go towards husbandry on the tank. Glad I have a skimmer rated for a tank 5 times the size of my tank!

Glad you were able to find one, Curtis...sorry you had to drive so far away to get it. It appears to be a tad bit emaciated, so make sure it eats well and fattens up a bit.

I picked up a blue Midas Blenny from Macon Pets last Friday. I had previously never seen one before...

Yea he didn't eat for about a day and I was really scared. The thing wasn't cheep at all! About Saturday afternoon he came out of his heidy hole and has been eating ever since!:yay:
I have never seen a blue Midas in person but they do look really cool. Just another reason for me to stop by here soon. :shades:

Yeah, kind of odd since the trade name "midas" comes from their yellow/gold coloring...oh well, it's really cool looking.

Lights are out already. I'll see if I can get a pic tomorrow

I had a tailspot that the whole family loved but he disappeared after a little over a year. We bought a bicolor to replace it which acts just the same. Both are great fish to watch. Both also got along fairly well with my yellow watchman goby.

Now, the yellow watchman goby lets met pet her..... Still surprised by that.

Not a great pic, but here's the blue Midas Blenny

Here is my blenny. Though not the most beautiful, he eats anything that I put in the tank, and has tons of personality. Here's my Starry Blenny named Fat ******* going to work on some brine shrimp... Click the title of the box below if the video doesn't show...
