What are some critters that can safely be added to a refugium to eat detris. I’m looking for something that is either unable or not smart enough to escape to prevent fouling my pumps. I currently have about 25 lbs of live rock and am looking to add some plants when I find some that are reasonably priced. The refugium portion of the sump holds about 5 gallons of water. Thanks in advance.

I don't know about others, but I put bristleworms in there when they present the opportunity.

Right on with the bristle worms. Also try mini brittle stars and stomatellas

Once it breaks down to that silt... you just need to vacuum it out. There isnt anything thats going to eat it at that point.
