Currently, I have corals of different varieties my tank. Can I add an anemone to the tank or is it not a good idea?

Everyone has differing opinions on this subject. All I can say is that anemone's sometimes go on walk-about around your tank if they are not happy in the spot they are in now.

Anemone would be fine but will require you to keep an eye on it. They can sting some corals and like he said before me, they'll hang around the same spot for months and then suddenly one day pack up and move halfway across the tank. Would only really do this if you have some elbow room for it in your current tank.

Yes with conditions. How old is your tank and what kind of lighting. An established tank with good reef lighting is a must. Other than that, go for it. Just be prepared to move some stuff around because it will pick the spot it likes not the one you like. :-)

Everyone has given good advice here... I learned with my first tank to add the anenome, and give it a week, or so to find the spot it likes, then start adding coral. Even then, it's no guarantee. I had a GBTA that was all over the place. When it died, I found a much bigger RBTA that hasn't moved 6 inches from the spot I put it in. It's even still on the same rock in the temp tank that I'm running. It split, and now both now reside on the same rock, and don't seem to want to leave that rock no matter what happens in the tank...

I had a GBTA for a while. It stayed for a good month or so then started roaming. I knew enough was enough when I found it in the middle of my favorite zoa colony. I'd consider a LPS, like a hammer, torch or frogspawn, colony instead. Same type movement but don't move.

I'd consider it in a larger tank in the future though.

My BTA was stationary for months in my 100 gallon. Then it went behind the rock for a week or so, then reappeard about 4-5 inches from where it was. I had to move a small hammer and leptoseris.

No problem having one in your tank, IMO, just be prepared to move some corals if you need to, because a BTA will win in a war with a coral.

My main GTBA hasn't moved in a couple of years. But three of the four splits decided to make their home at the far end of the tank... killing every coral along the way.
