questions about my new used solana

i just bought this solana off of phi. who bought it from kzoo. so i guess it's an older model if that helps. Hoping any solana owners can help me with this.

just wondering where i should fill the back part (the overflow/sump area) of the solana to. half way? all the way full with the tank water?

the site i linked above is the best for media baskets and what to out in them...probably filter floss, purigen and chemi-pure elite like my biocube 29

Edit: oh and with those media baskets u usually fill the back of the tank all the way up...the biocube has a "max fill" libe way at the bottom of the tank but with these u fill it all the way up to the top to cover the filter floss
