Looking for some guidance on acropora. I know generally acros are looking for 250+ for PAR, steady parameters etc. I've had very good success, at least what I consider good success, keeping things alive and growing but never have kept a significant number of acropora. I know some really pop more with very high PAR, while others seem to get better color with lower PAR levels. The way my tank is setup now I have decent flow across areas with anywhere from mid-200s to 350 across the the top. Is there a general rule or trick to optimizing placement for the different subspecies or color variants? Generally do stags do better at the highest flow and par, should I be putting tabling types up there instead? Do greens or reds need more or less than blues? Any tips or inputs would be appreciated. I could do a list of what I have or am getting along with PAR measurements against the rock work if that'd be of any use.

I think the rules of thumb are for the Species (Tenuis, Prolifera, Millepora, Echinata, etc) but figuring out what is what can be difficult when the thing you buy is named "Blueberry Boobies In Spaaaaace" and is .3" tall :)
