Questions of metro and focus

Hey guys. I bought two big bags of pe mysis and brine shrimp. I put it into a tray to dethaw and drained it. I then mixed garlic guard all over it. Then added the proper amount of metro and focus. Then froze it.



Is it ok to feed this every two days even when fish are not sick?

Please enlighten me on why you did this mix. I understand why you did the garlic. Explain the other mix... i.e. metro/focus. Thanks.

You have a fairly small system. Wouldn't treating the water once a month be better?

Ive got a small case of ick right now. But I was unsure if I continued to feed the same treated food if I'd have a ill effect.

You can't treat the water in a reef tank (but you can in quarantine).

Garlic masks the taste of the meds, it's believed to be an immune booster also, and it's an enticement.

Used to to treat ich and some bacterial infections.

But I should have no I'll effect I I continue to feed the medicated food?

I don't think I'd use it all the time. Metronidazole isn't very palatable (I've had to take it... blech!)

I don't think it's a good idea to medicate constantly, but occasionally if a problem is suspected would be OK.

That's just my opinion though.

I follow the great Jenns opinions!

I shall make a new batch with just garlic.

many folks use Met daily just to keep the tangs clean. but it's always better to use good food and less meds.
