A few questions that i just cant seem to come to a conclusion about.
1.Are corals considered primary producers or consumers? they undergo photosynthesis but many of them eat things, such as a brain coral eating mysis(in our aquariums).
2. Can you have a "choppy" light cycle for your corals? if so will they still have their resting period?
In AP Bio we learned that there are some plants that do not get their proper resting period if they do not have # number of hours in the dark that is not disturbed with light. If at anytime in the dark there is a light turned on for any amount of time, the whole resting period is lost. I ask this because i was thinking of turning my lights off from 12-2 when the room is the hottest.
