You need to silicone in two braces along the front and back panes of glass, then two cross-members on-top of those under the existing braces. Once fully cure, remove the existing bracing carefully as to not crack or chip the glass. I suggest using a heat gun to soften the bracing and cut with a box cutter and fresh blade. Be careful so that you don't cut yourself, may be worth while to wear some leather gloves to protect your hands from the heat and blade.
Edit: Be sure to use aquarium safe silicone.
