175 bowfront, will ultimately try to turn into a reef. What would make more sense?

- 2 Koralia 6 (2200 gph each) - 4400 gph total
or
- 3 Koralia 4 (1400 gph each) - 4200 gph total

other ideas?

I chose 3 k4s on my 120 4x2x2 mounted all 3 on the back wall.

I would say 3 - 1400s to spread it out. I'm looking at 2 initially and then going to three all on the back wall....

FWIW - just noticed one of my K4's is throwing voltage  - luckily its in my water mixing bucket and not my tank..lol

I guess everything we put in out tanks (with power cords in the water)are subject to voltage though...

I was going with these numbers for the '20 times the number of gallons per hour' suggestion that I had read. Is that not enough? Should I be looking for more like 4 K4s?

Personally, I'd go with more 4s instead of 6s. This is purely because if one dies (and eventually everything does) it will be cheaper to replace... plus I've never seen a 6 in stock, while pretty much any Koralia dealer will have 4s (actually, the new Evolution 1400 equivalent).

the 4s are ~$50 each, 1 MP40 is ~$450. Would live to go Vortech, but that is not even the same realm.
