Hi,

I posted this in my build thread, but figured I may get more exposure here.

cutting and pasting.

Question 1:

Amonia > LR/LS > Nitrites > ?????? > Nitrates > Cheato? > Nitrogen gas?

Fill in the ????? please...

Question 2:

Is it plausable to:

1 - Fill tank with RO/DI water to leak test
2 - Once leak test is good to go, salinate in tank
3 - THEN add sand and rock while tank is full, removing water as you go to account for displacement
4 - Allow to cycle.

The reason I ask this is that living in an apartment limits my space for water storage for the initial fill, after this I will only need about 10 gallons of water per water change, and filling my ATO reservoir with fresh RODI.

Thanks for your help with this question!

i filled my tank up the way you said it, no problems. just make sure the tank is clean.

Thanks! Wash down with Vinegar ok? Or a bleach solution, let dry then wipe with fresh again?
