Rad Reefer 450

Hey guys, starting a new build thread here for my Red Sea Reefer 450. Tank is mostly cleaned up, just slowly waiting for bits and pieces to show up.

Tank is aquascaped with two Real reef towers from BRS, and will have a live rock structure in the middle, as well as some magnetic floating rock up on the middle of the overflow.

Lighting will be 2 Radion Gen5 xr30 Blues which I’m excited about.

After filling it with water during cleaning, I saw that the tank is off plum so it will be getting some shims under the stand to square everything up

Reef towers look cool and good choice in lighting. I would be concerned for the flag behind the tank. Over time, water will splash back there and damage/stain it.

That’s a good point. I’ll probably mount a plexiglass shield up against the flag as a splash guard

Had to replace all of the plumbing, but finally got her going. Excited for clear water and my first true look at how this tank might actually come out.

Well it’s been a while, guess it’s time to update it a bit. I don’t have good up close pics of corals, but the majority of them are from people here.

New little toy up and running! My DOS just arrived, so AWC coming soon to keep this thing stable and solid
