Radioactive Zoas not doing to good.

I have had my tank for 2 months now, and all the parameters are good
Phos=0
Nitrate=0
Cal=420ppm
Alk=8dKh
Mag=?(I will find out 2morrow from LFS)

All my other corals including other zoas are doing great. The radioactive dragon zoas though mostly stay closed. Only about 3 stay open sometimes, while some others dont open at all ever. First I though I might have a pest, but looking the rock(about the size of a golf ball) over, I don't see anything except some small brittle stars and weird looking anemone things that are really tiny and bright yellow, but those are on the bottom of the rock and not in contact with the zoas. I have LOTR, kedds reds, tubs blue, a random green/brownish purple type, and I got a nuclear green today and it already opened up. Any suggestions?

Radioactive dragon eye? I just realized earlier today that this is one of the bigger colonies I have. They like ALOT of light. Do you keep them at the top of the tank? (They also grow pretty quick +1 head a day seems like) Did you recently move some stuff? Maybe have a rock fall down? If they got dust/sand/sediment in the heads they will take a few days to open back up. It is almost like they are trying to eat it, and it takes them a while to expel it.

No, It wasn't fragged, but I was taken off of a larger colony(the rock) so maybe there was stress there?

No rock fall downs, and I don't think any sediment got into it. The rock that has them on it is placed in the middle of the tank, and I have a 150 watt MH 14K. The distance between them I would say is about a foot of water, and another 10 inches of space between the water and the light. I don't have a par reader, so I don't know if it is getting enough light. I will move it up for the day and see if that makes a difference.

I am running two sets of T-5's and like I said mine do better higher up in the tank. However, I noticed last night (they have been at about half way 14 inches from light) that after about an hour of the light being on they were all open. Are they possibly getting too much flow? Also, do you ever see "cobwebs" in your tank? I had a big piece of LR I bought, and it had a certain kind of snail, (can not remember the name right now.) that makes a tube, and will cast out a web and filter feed like so. It was coincidentally always near my Zoas, and they would get aggitated and close up for almost an entire light period. (that rock is now at the bottom far back of my setup)
