Random pic of the day thread

I was supposed to get this taken care of a few days ago, but with the storms coming my wife deemed it “Get the Vette back in the garage day”. :p Not because she was worried about my car, because she was worried about where she could park hers. But it needed to be done. So, this afternoon I was able to re-focus on wiring the Elos setup. Here’s where it stands as of now.

Cord management in its purest form

Had some new coral come in this morning. This chalice is looking rough after puncturing it's shipping bag, but excited to see how it looks when it recovers!
I like it! Hopefully should recover fine - I have a few different chalices that have been "attacked" by other corals - the attacked section will turn completely white but has seemed to recover well for me if left alone for a few weeks.

Yeah, I think I’m gonna throw it in the back of the tank for a week or so. If I keep staring at it I’m gonna start messing with it and that’s not gonna help it recover. Also got a ‘gold stem’ hammer that’s not very gold. That’s also bothering me. Hopefully it’ll color up too.

1/3 of this was completely white. No flesh or color. Happens when an sps fell on top of it for a day

it fully recovered in under a month

Oh No! Not the dreaded dinos! Good luck with recovery. However, I did notice something really nice in the picture...Go Broncos! Having lived in Colorado 25 years, I'm still a Bronco fan. Okay Falcon fans. No haters allowed in this post! :D

Have you seen my sump? It’s blue with orange PVC for Broncos colors

dino blackout
Are you sure it’s dino’s? Especially this early in the life of this tank. But if it is, a uv was the end solution to the outbreak I just had. But it seems to depend on the type of dino if UV will help.

@dball711 sent me an excellent article on dinos and it is most definitely dinos. I am doing what it said to do in the article plus I added 12 lbs of live rock to increase biodiversity. Dave is a wonderful and knowledgeable reefer so I’m taking his advice. Thanks though for caring. Praying this time next week I can post a picture of a beautiful, Dino free aquarium.
