Nice! What size tanks and where did you pick it up?View attachment 39611
Stand is done. Went with 3/4" ply on top. Plumbing is next. Capacity is about 10x max weight with both tanks full.

This is our first mixing station so I can't speak from experience. There are 8" lids on top and we will be using plumbing unions so if we need to break it down and take it outside to spray it with the hose we can. We use Red Sea Blue Bucket salt which seems to mix cleanly so that will probably also help. If anyone else has experience with cleaning larger mixing tanks feel free to chime in.i have always wondered how do you clean the inside of the tanks. can you share?
my experience is that it doesn't matter the brand of salt. over time the brown crude will build up and it's a hassle to clean. of course you clean it less when paying for a premium salt. but i just can't imagine reaching in via a 8" hole to clean the bottom of the barrel without some pressure washer. This is our first mixing station so I can't speak from experience. From my experience, it’s best to add sediment filter reactor (20” one usually works well) Any time you run water from your mixing stations to the aquarium it will filter all the brown stuff out.
