My heavily modified biocube 29, bought used as all stock fowlr for $100. This is around $5k later. LolView attachment 19704
Beautiful tank, and welcome to ARC! Just joined and you've got the spirit of the club already, offering a free frag for a newcomer, I love it. What I don't love is getting the idea to spend a ton of money on my BioCube!

Ha ha. I know the feeling. I told myself long ago I was gonna stop spending money and just enjoy the grow out, but all I’ve done since then is start a new 120 build!! I’m seriously worried about what I’m about to spend on a tank with over 5 times (120+40b sump) the water volume!!

Hammer growing.

LivePD every Friday and Saturday night. My DT is still cycling so although it takes up most of a wall in my living room it isn’t that exciting to watch right now.

Ok @bigd this is as far as I’ve gotten with the Apex! I only have 2 probes so far. I think the tank is almost done cycling!

Looks good, ph is a tad low though. Did you calibrate the ph probe when you set it up?

It is definitely low but tested with API and Red Sea test kits which showed it to be around 8.1. I did calibrate it once then like a dummy threw away the leftover solution. I ordered more from Amazon and next time I’m going to float the packets in the sump to bring the calibration fluid in line with the temp of the aquarium.

Bringing the calibration solutions up to tank temp will definitely help accuracy wise. It’s been a while since I cycled one, if I remember correctly, ph can drop during the process.
