Hey Guys,

I got an RBTA this morning and put it in my tank. I placed it on one of the top rocks and it stayed there for a bit, now it moved and went under some rocks towards the back of the tank.

I know they move until they find the right spot, but I thought they look for strong light and good flow. But right now it's not getting any light, should I try to move it or just wait and see if it moves by itself?

In case the info is helpful: tank is a 65g with a 4 bulb solar extreme T5 and 2x 12" blue ecoxotic stunner LEDs for coloration

any input is appreciated

Mauricio

I have two in my tank one stays in complete darkness and the other does not hide at all. The one that stays hidden hosted my clown fish pair also but you can never see it :( just thought I would share my experience.

+1 it needs to acclimate to your water and lighting , it should start peaking out from behind the rocks in a few days.
I feed them when they get where I want them as a positive reinforcement. It may or may not work but mine aren't walkers once settled

I have housed numerous anemones, and I would say that approx 50-60% of the time the anemones will hide after they are introduced in a new system. I think that it is an acclimation thing... it is very normal.

Give it a day or two... the nem will eventually move to where the flow and lighting are most favorable for it.

Awesome! Thanks for the feedback guys! I'll keep an eye on it and hopefully it will move to a nice area of the tank.

This is it when I first put it in:
