I've become a big fan of RDSB's; I have found them to be very effective on my reefs! I want to set one up in my living room next to my tank, but would like for it to look better than a homedepot bucket on the fireplace. What I have done is make the bucket, then put it in a large planter. I had originally planned to put a lid on it and put a house plant on top to sort of disguise it.
I recently had the thought of leaving the top off and planting mangroves in it! Any idea if this will become a maintenance nightmare, or if it will reduce the effectiveness of the RDSB?
