looking to get a small reactor for my tank. im looking at the BRS single canister or the Two Little Fishes Phosban 150. need something to keep GFO in. im leaning towards the phosban 150 and a mj 600 to run it since i can hang the phosban on my tank (i have no sump). any reason i should go with one over the other?

i use the brs reactors and they are great but in your case you should prob go with the tlf 150 simply because it hangs on the back and will be a little easier on you when it comes to running the lines

im running into a little phosphate problem so that's why im looking at GFO.

Bio pellets are effective in reducing nitrates and phosphate. Your results would not be as immediate as GFO but less expensive and probably a better long term solution. On my new build I will be converting to bio pellets as well. It is at least worth doing research on as an alternative. Ultimately wither will obtain good results, however GFO does not control nitrates in the same manor.
