I know it's easy to forget your cooler or some will think if I don't bring a cooler I won't buy any coral=spend the $$$, but that doesn't work!!! You will see a coral you will not be able to live without, buy it and walk around for 5 hours with the little guy in your hot little hands! There is a big difference between 78-80 degrees and our 98.6 degree body temp. He in there with the temp going up thinking you are boiling him/her to death. Do both of you a kindness, bring a cooler, you SAVE $$$ and your coral has a chance to live.:yay:

Yea def +1 I've had the same idea before and it never works. I don't plan on buying anything this go around but I'm bringing the cooler anyway

Like there's any way to not bring a cooler with you on Cinco de Mayo

Looks like I need to hang out close to you and your cooler at the frag party, I mean frag swap!

If anyone needs an extra i've got a small container.

BTW does anyone know if they're still doing road work on 285? i know they stopped for a while but haven't been that way since Easter on the weekend

I also have two small foam coolers that I will bring in case anybody needs one.

Also have some disposable gel freezer packs.

Yeah but then you have to make a tough decision. Keep the frag warm or the beverage cold. Sorry frag, it was nice knowing. LOL

Or, we can all hang out near Ringo and help him diminish the cold stuff so that he will have plenty of room for the corals. Ringo, please wear a bright colored shirt so that you will be easy to find.

No need for the bright colored shirt. Just listen for the "pop---fizz---ahhhh". Or look for Ben. I know he won't be far. :-)

So....From a newbie....I've been member of ARC for over a year, and have never been to one of these. Can one of you guys give me the low down? Are there speakers? How do people display their corals? Bring a check or cash? How may displays are there? Is it only ARC members or are there vendors?

I'm trying to stock a new 225 ......how much money to bring?

What to expect???

Bring cash and lots of it. Some vendors will take plastic but not all. Checks would be doubtful.

As for what to expect? Think of being a kid and walking into Toys-R-Us for the first time. :-)

oooooOh Great. Maybe I should leave my kids home. They're more addicted than I am.

Again, a newbie question...my tank has been up or about a month. I moved into the 225 from my old 110 that was up for about a year. I used my old sand and rock. Phosphates are 0. Nitrates have been hanging around .5 ppm.. Is it ok to start addding livestaock? I'd hate to miss the weekend fun!

Thanks,

Michael

Have you been checking your Ammonia & Nitrite to see if you have had a cycle? Your Phos & Nitrates are fine. I always add good bacteria to my tanks, especial when they are new. It help when I add animals that I overfeed and it helps break down their waste. Holley :D
