I am getting a new light fixture and I am having the hardest time deciding! I don't want metal halides!! I was looking at a Current USA Nova Extreme 4x54 watt or a wavepoint 4 bulb fixture. Which One would you get?!? Any other recomendations would be great also!:thumbs:Oh, this is going over my 75 gallon reef.

No it has 7.9 bulbs - they just round it up...
(Just kidding)

I had it on my 55 and now on my 90 and it is a solid unit, mid price range but worth the money, IMHO

I love catalina aquarium lights they are custom built lights you have room for 8 t5s on top of your 75. The company gives great service and support. Also for those brand bashers out there current usa and coralife uses sunpak ballast in their lights and so does my catalina. If you want to retro the I know where to get the ballast 2x55 t-5 for 20.00 each. pm me if interested in either I can help you save an extra 10 percent at catalina as they sponsor my club.

hahaha! The one im looking at is 4 bulbs: http://www.fosterandsmithaquatics.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=3578+3733+13822+16770&pcatid=16770">http://www.fosterandsmithaquatics.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=3578+3733+13822+16770&pcatid=16770</a>

I'll look into that light!

I have just had the option to go with an Aquaticlife 48" 216 watt. Which one?!!?!?!?!

I like the sun supply tek fixtres but the ones robb suggested are great as well..

I like the tek fixtures too. However, they are kind of expensive and out of my price range! (i'm 16, with no job!)

well, so far right now I just have zoanthids, frogspawn, kenya trees, candycane coral. I only get corals I can support. I also don't want powercompacts. I'm FOR SURLEY getting a Aquaticlife!! I just want feedback about them!

I too was anti MH until I added them. T5 are just as hot and can't touch MH imho. I have several Novas and they are good. My Tec doesn't have a fan and it's mighty hot

See, I would really like to get metal halides, but they're so expensive! One thing I absolutely hate about them though, is that some halides on shine in one direction. I think once I have my own house or apartment one day, I'll give them a try! But any thoughts on Aquaticlife T5? I'm switching from a SolarXtreme by Deep Blue, I have had three and had problems with every single one of them. It's a nice light, I just can't keep getting them and then messing up on me!

I have a 75 gallon, 48" long. Well, I would do MH, but i'm already getting an Aquaticlife, If I had the money(again 16 years old!) I would do LED's. Ecoxotic's fixture!
