Long…So I don't have a QT tank and I have been blessed with having zero visible fish diseases or parasites for the life of my 14 month old 120 gal tank. My powder blue is big and gorgeous and never shown a blemish. My yellow wrasse jumped to its death even with egg crate (now have rocks on the egg crate) so I purchased a quarantined wrasse online. Fish arrived, I acclimated and it was very healthy and active. Carefully added to the tank and it immediately went into the sand as expected. That was a week ago. Haven't seen it since 😞

Is there any hope it is still alive and just hiding? I have red planaria that I am sure the yellow wrasse was controlling and I need a new hunter.

I know for the amount I spent I could have set up a QT tank but I didn't want the hassle. I don't plan on adding any other fish, I just needed to replace the wrasse.

Unfortunately I had a 6 inch leopard wrasse do the same thing and never reappear. I got so frustrated that I dug up the entire tank and it never was found. I guess clean up crew got it

I’ve had an ornate wrasse for 3 months and it was doing great. I must have jinxed myself. I changed the flow now it disappeared. It came up for 2 hrs 2 days ago but haven’t seen it since

Just got a carpenter wrasse myself and he's MIA as well. He was out and about the first few days eating like he had been there for months until he disappeared about a week or so ago.

When I added my melanurus wrasse it hid in the sand for a few days never emerging then one day it acted like it had been in the tank forever. Quarantining is a good but difficult thing. Ive got a powder brown and foxface in qt. They are have 1 week of prazipro left then done. I would look into Humblefish.com and the HTTM QT.
