Wish I could get a better picture but for some reason he hides when I lift my phone to take a pic. Go fig. Its not ich. Its not velvet, nothing fuzzy or sloughy about it. The skin has just turned white and you can clearly see intact scales but no lesions. His activity and appetite are good although I think he is starting to loose weight. (just noticed today. Has had for 4-5 days)

Someone suggested that it might be a fungus.

Has anyone seen this before and if so what did you do??

Thanks

The only other fish in the tank is a black molly and she is completly harmless. Also the scales are perfectly intact. Its like the skin turned white and no other changes that I can identify.

Does anyone see a down side to trying a general fungicide/antibiotic.

No coral in the tank yet. The DSB is still maturing and will probably start adding coral in January.

Right now the I have two fan worms, a cleaner shrimp, a pepper mint and several Nassarius snails.

More like something fell on him. Maybe someone else can chime in on this

Hey, you are not allowed to post until midnight.:D

I noticed my yellow watchman yesterday had a little white on him as well. He seems normal and is eating fine. Personally I'm not worried and don't plan to treat for anything. He spends so much time buried that I figured it was something to do with that.

That might be. He is kind of splotchy but the skin and scales look fine. Just white.

Beautiful dog BTW
